We are beyond thrilled to share the gorgeous, hypnotic cover for Gus Moreno’s spellbinding debut novel, This Thing Between Us. Sara Wood created the design with art by artist/musician Howie Wonder.
As bold and original as its cover, This Thing Between Us is a mesmerizing horror thriller about grief, loneliness and the oppressive intimacy of technology. It’s the story of Thiago Alvarez, a man suffering from the isolation of loss and rage, but also from the sinister overtures of the mysterious evil that has taken over his home smart speaker, Itza. Rave reviews from the horror community are already rolling in, with John Langan calling it “dazzling,” Paul Tremblay warning about scenes that left him “genuinely creeped out, unsettled, and shaken,” and MCD’s own Andy Davidson describing it as “a horror tale of hair-raising hairpin curves!” Stephen Graham Jones declares: “Hold on, this isn’t a ride, it’s a slide, and it doesn’t care whether you’re ready or not.”
Ready or not, This Thing Between Us is coming on October 12th. In the meantime, you can learn more and preorder now.
