The definitive biography of James Yancey, aka J Dilla, landed this week and is currently charting at #4 on the February 20 New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction Best Sellers List! Along with its instant best-seller status, Dilla Time is getting some well-deserved love from some of hip-hop’s greats. Questlove, Common, Madlib and more took to Twitter to hype Dan Charnas’s book, which is “a portrait of a complex genius taken too young, as well as a glorious study of the music and culture he created’’ (Spin).
